Graduate student and now Dr. Danielle Stanton-Turcotte successfully defended herPhD thesis exploring the role of Mllt11 in cortical development, the first demonstration of a role for this enigmatic protein in vivo. Her research led to a first author cover article paper in the Journal of Neuroscience last year, and is the basis of exciting work in the lab in the cytoskeletal regulation of neuritogenesis and synaptogenesis. Dr. Stanton-Turcotte is finishing up her experiments in the lab for another manuscript. It's been a busy week for the lab with 2 students defending their theses!
